Arina Dreams 2 Gallery is an exhibition of interpretative oil paintings by artist Arina Tukhanova that portray dreamlike, surreal and imaginary landscapes. Her colorful and distinct style combines elements of Gothic, Surrealist and Expressionist art, in a personal vision where she explores the intricacies of beauty in nature, architecture and psychology. The works evoke a sense of alienation in the viewer — the consciousness becomes immersed in a world without logic or reason; one that is rooted in symbols and metaphors. Tukhanova has been a professional artist since her early twenties. She graduated from the Russian Academy of Arts with a degree in reconstruction and restoration of paintings. From 1996 to 2000, she studied at the "Anna Akhmatova" School of Fine Arts in Moscow, where she earned her honors diploma as well as participated in master classes with Arsenii Zhigulin and Kirill Zolotarev.
